Marauders attack player's village, destroy a few buildings, then leave with loot. How can I have a certain amount of gold/food/etc. deducted from the player's stockpile - to simulate pillaged goods -, without resorting to "tribute"?

Since you don't want to use the Tribute, you're S.O.L.
