Matthew.
I have also seen it and I am not sure about my claim that you dont need to submit the AI files when you save your scn/scx file into a cpn/cpx because I have not yet tested it but I am almost certain that all AI files are stored in the cpn/cpx file..?
Maybe some real expert can confirm or explain which files that actually are saved in the cpn/cpx file...
Or Matthew I will let you know as soon as I confirmed it myself...
editing notes:
Quoted from Zanzard Lothar in FAQ about submitting files: |
If you are sending a campaign, DO NOT zip the bmp, ai and per files that will be used in the campaign. The reason to not do so is simply because they are not going to be used, since the cpn file of AOK will contain the bmp, ai and per files in itself, so you can play the campaign without copying these files into the folders of the game. Just remember not to put the bmp, ai and per files in the zip file of the campaign. If it is a scenario in scn format, then you should put ai and per files in the zip files, but you should NOT put the bmp file in the zip. |
Probably that confirms and explains how and what files goes to the cpn/cpx file.
The reason why the AI files still are added to the download package can be for the purpose of letting the player/downloader have a look at the files...
