William Adams, a Pilot Major for a five-ship expedition to the Far East, set sail from Rotterdam on the 'De Hoop' and joined with the rest of the fleet; 'De Liefde', 'Het Geloof', 'De Trouw', and 'Blijde Boodschop', on June 24. His long Voyage took him through the west coast of Africa, across the Atlantic to the east coast of South America, through the Magellan Straits, and up the coastlin of Chile. During the voyage, the fleet was scattered and several ships were lost. It was now year 1599 AD, Adams changed ships and waited for the other ships at Santa Maria Island on the 'De Liefde'. Only the 'De Hoop' arrived. By 1600 AD, the two ships headded westardly for the Japans, knowing that the other ships haven't made the voyage. On their way, they ran into a typhoon that claimed the 'De Hoop', leaving the 'De Liefde' as the only surviving ship of the five-ship expedition. Japan, 1600 AD The 'De Liefde' made landfall off the coast of Bungo. Allegations by Portuguese preist that William Adam's ship, the 'De Liefde', was a pirate vessel led to seizure of his crew. However, Lord Tokugawa sends for Adams to discuss the issue. Lord Tokugawa had released Adam's crew to remain in Bungo, but Adams travels with Lord Tokugawa to Edo (Currently Tokyo), the home of Lord Tokugawa. Lord Tokugawa had defied the Concil, and will be going to war against Lord Ishida. He also took a liking to Adams, and had him train his troops to use fire-arms. William Adams has been reborn into Miura Anjin the Samurai after a few months of training Lord Tokugawa's troops. Anjin, almost finished with the training, will attempt to reteive as much supplies that he can get for the battle. Japan, 1615 AD Although Tokugawa Ieyasu became Shogun in 1603 AD, he still lacked the control of Osaka. His first attempt to seige Osaka Castle failed. However, he is still determined to seige the mighty castle. Conclusion... So as you play the game, you start off in a couple cutscenes, then explore Osaka, have another cutscene with some Jesuit preists, leave to Edo, explore Edo, have another cutscene with Lord Tokugawa, watch Miura Anjin (William Adams) finish training Lord Tokugawa's troops with fire-arms, explore the whole map with 2 more towns and a couple other small places. Once you start exploring the map, you have 45 minutes to accomplish as many missions as possible, which will benifit you in the battle comming soon. There are 5 different missions. You also have the choice to skip ahead if you wish and continue straight into the battle. Before you start the battle, you can select the difficulty you wish to have for the battle. Selecting a difficulty will either take things away from Ishida if you choose Easiest, or it will give Lord Ishida more technologies if you choose from moderate-hard. Once the battle begins, you main goal is to kill Lord Tokugawa. If Lord Tokugawa is killed, you will loose. You also have 30 minutes to Kill Lord Ishida, or he will bring reinforcements where you will loose as well. Once you defeat Lord Ishida, you win the game. So how does it sound? (After you defeat lord Ishida, you sit back and watch a nice cutscene of Lord Tokugawa taking seige of Osaka Castle to finish the scenario.)
