Ok, so i've had this idea for a while now and I started to make it. It is sort of like a 2-player game on one computer.
How it works is: You each choose your class (pike, archer, horse archer, melee cav., ranged cav.) and you take turns fighting battles in seperate arenas. You can upgrade your guys to the next level of the class (eg. man-at-arms to long swordsman or elite manguindai to conquistador) after you get enough money to do so. You can also upgrade your guys with attack and hp bonuses. After 30+ rounds or so each. You each face one another, one on one in a special arena. The winner wins...obviously.
I am done the map structure so far and have done some triggers.
I would like some feedback from the SD community. What do you think of this idea? Any changes/improvements?

Alright... i won't make them take turns. I was only going to do that if it was on one comp anyways.
@Impeached:
Yes, I had thought about that. This is my plan. It is kind of hard to explain. When you upgrade your unit, there is already the upgraded version on the map. Your old unit is removed and the new one changes ownership. Now, about the HP and Attack stats staying. When your unit gets an upgrade, it not only upgrades the unit, but it also upgrades the other units that your unit will later turn into, letting it still have the same stats when upgraded.
@Noobo:
That sounds like a pretty good idea... Maybe you would go to the town after every 5 rounds and complete a minigame. Any thoughts on this?
