I'm unsure how the difficulty compares. My recollection of the Mark Stoker Tamerlane campaign is that I found it tricky, but I think that may have been due to my lack of experience. I have seen others say that it is easy.I am sure you can easily beat it on hard nowadays. At least I could and I am not really a good player after all.
I've not overlooked that you've made a Tamerlane campaign as well, bassi. It is on my list to try.Awesome! Pls note that there are two separate chapters, 7 scenarios in total. Both "The Rise of Tamerlane I" and "The Rise of Tamerlane II" only cover events that took place before the official Tamerlane campaign btw. I like to think of these scenarios as sort of addition to both the Stoker and the retail campaign.
Pretty incredible, bassi, that you were able to produce seven scenarios about Tamerlane's life before the events of the official campaign! You could easily make 7 more or so -- but the ongoing tribal betrayals would become a bit boring I guess.
If I were to criticize one little thing, it would be the final. Minor Spoiler: My heroine just died in my town before the enemies first major attack began. I suspect what the designer was trying to do here, but it wasn't exactly the right ending for this otherwise well-told story. If you play the mission on hard, I can pretty much guarantee that you won't be able to finish the wonder before your enemies start attacking, at least not while still being able to win. It takes much less time for the three factions to begin their assault on hard, and all of them hit you like trucks, so the mission might be harder on the lowest difficulty if that gap is shorter. I just remember my dad found the Tomislav campaign extremely difficult on Standard when he played it, and I wanted Apranik to be playable to beginners on the lowest difficulty despite being three swords.

Any thoughts on Fury: The Legend of Mstislav the Bold since you played it? How do you like this style common between the scenarios (also seen in Shimazu: Daimyo of the Nine Provinces) of build up to defend against a portentous threat?I generally like it- "gathering allies" aspect creates potential for epic showdowns.
