| Installing
Modpacks In .SLP Format To install a Modpack in .SLP format, follow the
below steps. If you have questions, visit the Resources
Section of the site, or e-mail
me.
Please note that this installation method creates an AKS
file, which will install when you launch the file, and uninstall when you exit.
| 1. Unzip the file to any folder.
(It is easiest to unzip it to a folder with the name of the modpack, so you can
easily find it again.) |
Q.) I don't have a Unzipping program!
A.) Download one @ http://www.winzip.com/ |
| 2. Open Modpack Studio,
otherwise known as MPS. |
Q.) I don't have MPS!
A.) Download it here. |
| 3. Creat a new Project,
and name it the name of the Modpack you downloaded. |

|
Q.) Can I use a pre-existing Project?
A.) Yes, you can, but it is not recommended. |
| 4. Look at the
numbers of the SLPs you downloaded. The number is the name of the file. |
| 5. Now, if you are viewing
by Resource Type, click SLP Graphics. If you are viewing by File
Location, click the Resource Type Tab, then SLP Graphics. |

|
| 6. The list will
expand to show many SLPs (Resources). Scroll down to the one(s) that have the
same number as the SLP(s) you downloaded. |
| 7. Click on the SLP's
number. A window will open to the right. Now, click the Import SLP button. |

|
| 8. A standard Open
Window will appear. Browse to the folder that holds your downloaded SLPs and
click the one corresponding to the number of the SLP you opened in MPS.
Then click Open. A new image should be in the SLP picture box. |
| 9. Click File
> Make Install Script for [Your Project Name]. When prompted to save, click
Yes. Click Ok at the next screen. |

|
Q.) I want the Modpack to be
permanent! A.) Instead of following Step 9,
| 10. Close MPS, and
go to the folder that you saved the Install Script to. (The folder with the name
of your Modpack, in the same folder as your Project.) Click on the [Your
Modpack Name here].aks file to launch AoK and use the Modpack. |
