Making Unselectable Objects

Step 1

Boot your AOK (Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings/The Conquerors) and create a scenario, put a fireball on the map (Others(any-player)/CATSF). (For how to enable the CATSF fireball, read this article). Save the scenario.

Step 2

Open your AOKTS (AOK Trigger Studio), go to “open file” and select your scenario. Change the fireball (CATSF) to any unit (eg. Paladin), then save the scenario (in AOKTS) and close it.

Step 3

Go to the scenario again (this time by AOK), open the menu and click “Test”. Now you have an unselectable unit!

It can be useful for cut-scenes (like a cloaked unit) and if you make one for the enemy, you won’t be able to attack, but he will still attack you!

Requirements

Possible Bugs

  • Crash when saving the scenario.

How to solve

  • Try to use an old scenario, not a completely new one (This is an AOKTS bug).

I hope it can be useful!
