Playability: 3
It was essentially a series of different assault scenarios. The campaign gave you too many supplies to make it really challenging; simply building men with your unlimited resources will eventually win the day.
Balance: 2
Anybody could figure out how to win. Plus, some of the scenarios- namely The Betrayal- are so simple and short, they could have been made into cut-scenes.
Creativity: 1
It is a simple set of battle scenarios with no real innovations or neat tricks. Also, while you seem to understand the use of triggers, I do not believe you used them enough to create an interesting campaign.
Map Design: 1
Pretty much you generated a large/giant grass 1 map and placed some huge forest or desert or snow and did no terrain mixing at all. Nor did you use gaia objects. Both really spruce up a scenario. While not as important in battle scenarios that are relatively quick, there is only so much grass 1 a player can look at.
Story/Instructions: 1
I saw a tiny bit of story here, but not enough to merit any points. Longer cut-scenes or dialogues between characters can really add depth to the characters and make the player care about them. You also never explained why Camler had to carry out the attacks, just that he did. Nor did you explain the times between levels, the disappearance of Camler for a few levels, or the big deal about the Silver Knights.
Additional Comments:
I presume this is your first campaign? While I have not released them on here, I made many campaigns similar to yours when I first started designing. Just keep at it and ask for advice, and soon you will be designing high-level scenarios like the pros. Another helpful tip is to make a project thread, so that people can give you their opinions at various stages in the project to refine your campaign. [Edited on 05/28/14 @ 08:52 AM]

Playability: 2
The playability was given a 2 because it wasn't fun to play, and was so easy, I could "close my eyes" and still win the game. Make the game more fun with a longer storyline.
Balance: 1
You had troops with 450 hitpoints, 20 attack, and a priest with 9060 hitpoints, and I really think you made Camler too overpowered. I'd like you to redo this, if you may, because it's simply too easy, all you have to do is click a button, then the next thing you know, you kill a man.
Creativity: 1
Wasn't showing any creativity whatsoever except for the names, which gave you a star, and all I really have to say is, make this more than a battle and cutscenes, so that it would be worthwhile playing the game, and more people would enjoy it.
Map Design: 1
The map is just a mixture of grass 1 and ice. Some trees, some gates, but no deer and javelina, and all the other eye candy that normally would help this topic get higher than a star.
Story/Instructions: 2
You might have given some background on the story, but not enough for more than a 2 star. The second a villager pops up and I say who the hell is this, she becomes a main character, and what do the silver knightress do? Flirt with the silver knight? Bro, you really need some redesigning here. Make the cutscenes longer, add some eyecandy, more dialogue, more understanding, and then, you got a 5 right there.
Additional Comments:
First submission or not, it still needs a lot of work. I'm excited to see what you come up with next, but make sure you read the reviews to give you a taste of what you need to add, or modify to give the player an enhanced gameplay. Good luck! |
