Right from the beginning it is clear not alot of time was spent developing this campaign, especially in the areas of map design and storytelling.
Playability: It's tough to really enjoy a fixed force bloodbath type of scenario if it gives you little in the way of rhyme or reason for the carnage. Having said that, some scenarios were definitely more interesting than others were, and the overall effect wasn't bad so in this department the campaign deserves at least a neutral grade.
Balance: Most of the scenarios of this campaign were fairly well balanced, they weren't brutally difficult nor did you easily overwhelm your opponent.
Creativity: There's little evidence of much creativity, it's just a matter of how efficiently you can beat the other guy's head in with the units you've given. Strategy and cunning count for very little, which is unfortunate because B&D and FF games should have at least some use for these.
Map Design: The map design was poor. Random maps dominate, with perhaps some extra water here or a bridge there. Nothing much else to say about it, if you load up a RM you'll know what this campaign looks like.
Story/Instructions: The campaign consists of a basic "kill your way to the top" storyline with neither background in the beginning nor development through the game. Instructions too were limited and in certain scenarios or parts of scenarios you have no idea what to do next. There were a few instructions; otherwise this score would have been a 1.
Final Comments: All in all, Frankpalconq is a very simple and basic campaign. One which you've already seen, if you've played more than a handful of random games.
