Welcome to the world of Death Match Blood! This blood is simlar to Castle Blood, but there are some differences. First of all, you start in the Post-Imperial age (note the "Death Match" part with two castles, two Barracks, one Archery Range, and one Stable. You get unlimited resources. Later, you can get Towers, a Siege Workshop, and a Villager. The starting pop cap is 100, but you can make it make it to 120 by building more houses with your villager. The map and triggers are pretty simple to attempt to reduce lag as much as possible. Please post here any comments or bug reports. Thanks.
Installation istructions: Unzip the file into your scenario folder.

This scenario was one of the better scenarios of the blacksmith, and I played this scenario with plenty of people, zoners and AoKHers alike. So here are my ratings:
Playability: 4: There were few if any bugs, although it really could have more features. It was funnier than castle blood at times, as you can get a variety of units instead of one unit at a time. However, there are a few things. One is that I don't like the idea that this starts in Post-Imperial Age, I would like to start in Castle Age. Another thing is that more upgrades would always be nice. A middle bonus would be very nice, as I see people complaining about having no middle bonus.
Balance: 3: In the latest version, all of the balance bugs that I could find were fixed and no one could get any units that were disabled. However, there were a few balance issues. Meso-Americans, for example, had worse luck than others since their stable was useless, and sure, people don’t have to pick those civilizations, but many of us prefer 'random all' settings. Persians, on the other hand, were a very unfair civilization but this is typical in castle blood as 3 civilizations: Spanish, Turks, and Persians were the major civilization powers.
Creativity: 4: The closest scenario that I could find to this one is castle blood and there are no versions of castle blood in which you can create units from different buildings. I often play this map when I get tired of other standard custom scenario maps, such as germs blood, castle blood, soldier store, whatever since this map is very different from all others.
Map Design: 3: There was little eye candy but that was imposed for lag control. More eye candy would be good however, as I don't think eye candy lags TOO much but that may just be me.
Story/instructions: There wasn't a readme, which can be extremely important in scenarios. There were some, but not much, instructions, but instructions weren't really needed, as everyone already knows what to do.
Overall, this scenario is better than average and with a few adjustments, it could become GREAT, but unfortunately, this version may as well be final. This is one of the few downloaded scenarios from the blacksmith that I play on zone often without much complaints from zoners. Great job, TNK! :D |

Ugh, I double checked my reviews and found a few grammer mistakes. I loaded it up on microsoft word, got the typos fixed, but it suggested some wrong words. :( Well, next time, I'm going to double check my reviews. :) |
