I created this multiplayer scenario to attempt a version of the Battle of Minas Tirith from Lord of the Rings. In this battle, players 1 & 2 work together to stall the orcs at Minas Tirith; player 3 plays the orcs in an attempt to destroy Minas Tirith. Next, player 4 attempts to lead the undead and the Riders of Rohan against the orcs. Finally, player 5 should always be set to computer.
I updated this file. Several bugs and balance issues were fixed.

This Multiplayer map is bases on the popular book Lord of the Rings. This is the Battle of the Pellenor fields, the orcs have surrounded Minas Tirith, and are sieging it you must make a stand and survive. DarckRedd's Minas Tirith had a few faults but it was above the average Lord of the Ring maps you see out there. There are four players and one compupter player.
Playability:
I had a lot of fun playing this scenario, the author had enough brains so that there is little or no lag, though there can be some, the author steered away from the traditional stlye of a LOTR Blood map as you may aswell call them. I've played quite a few and this is one of the few that gave a reasonable amount of units so that its fun for all players and so it doesn't lag. I took of marks for one annoying victory bug, well its not a bug. Its intentional, and while true to that would have happened in the story I don't think the players should lose if a hero dies, this is annoying in multiplayers, it also effects the balance but I will address this issue in balance. ( The author kept this condition in an update, but put heroes furthur away, giving greater control). For this I give a 4
Balance
I also think that the good guys may have an advantage, if they pull out their trebs to the front they hammer green no problem! Fix this and balance will be more even. The increased army of green makes things a little bit more even, and I found as long as green brought in all his units fast. When taking over the docks it can be hectic, and the player can lose Aragorn Legolas and Gimli, which by accident you spelt "Gimly" For this I give a 4
Creativity
Well this is a Lord of the Rings map which is creative, the only problem it is overdone (a Lord of the Rings map) and other than that there was nothing entirely original in this map, except for the win conditions! While I found errors with them, they are rarely seen in other scenarios of this style wich normally boil down to losing every single man, or a 2 hour timer, which can be annoying. The author has also done a great version of Minas Tirith with the tree in the last cornor, lovely. A great recreation, I also like how the dead must take over the docks, nice idea! ( I can't believe I forgot this in the original) I give a five
Map Design
The map had some problems but overall was a nice enough one, the city of Minas tirith is true to the story, and the placement of all the other civs are realistic, there are nice ideas, the map is great, there are nice bits of eye candy dotted around the place. Good Job! I can't piniont what was missing, but the map is great anyway. For this I give a 4
Story/Instructions
This is based upon a battle from the popular Lord of the Rings trilogy, the instructions were clear and the plasyer knew how to win how to lose, that author also offers some hints for each player which can really help. For this I give a 4, I still think not enough info is given on middle earth, and the story. Sorry.
This is the most enjoyable of any Minas Tirith map I have ever played, I am not sure you can make this one any better now DarckRedd! The best multiplayer map of Minas Tirith I've seen so far..
Great Job,
WildCard
P.S. Sorry for any errors that may have occured in an update.. |

1 of the weakest interpretations of a LotR map i have ever had this misfortune to encounter, Geographically incorrect by a long shot, un-inventive use of map design and triggers. Missing almost every crucial hero and sheer lack of units on both sides. |
