This is my first Random map script. I was just testing out the parameters ot see how the thing worked.
THIS MAP IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE!
You start with 6 Villagers, 5 chu ko nu's, 2 monks, a monastry and NO TC! There is also an astonishing amount of food, gold and stone on the map, so be sure to check it all out. You can either get a desert map, or a frozen map.
Again; This is my first try, so it probably won't work properly. I don't even have TC yet so I can't test it! I got the script from a stateside friend!
Thanks for downloading, and I would appreciate your opinions on my map!

Edit: Updated the submission with an .RMS file and left the original text file as reference.

Don't bother downloading or rating. The .rms file isn't even in the folder. It's just the text document. Sounds like a great idea, though. Someone should successfully make it. |

This is a rather harsh review on the script, but it needs to be done...
Theme: 2
The overall theme of the map is none. Currently, the script will 'randomly' pick desert or snow, which it does. I loaded the script 6 times, and only 2 loaded desert. In fact, one of the desert ones put me right next to a CPU player....might want to fix that.
Visual Appeal: 1
This script only loads a flat map, with trees in it. Only 2 terrain variations inside of it, and they are far and few variations as well. This applies to both the winter and desert versions. Not to mention that there is no wildlife inside or anything else...just ground, flat ground, and trees....not that many either.
Playability: 2
Because there were trees, it would be possible to play this game, but rather painfully. There is no other resource type here either. To obtain food, you would have to cut trees to get enough wood to jump start your farm economy. To get gold, you'd have to sell a lot of your food and wood, and to even get enough stone to build a castle is insanely hard at most points. Plus, the AI placement vs player placement is nuts! I was placed beside a CPU player in one game. I stood no chance. The CPU threw up walls, and rushed me with 10 swordsman, before I could even get enough resources around to build a barracks.
Additional Comments:
The Script does not do what the author states. Instead, it puts you in the middle of a wasteland style map, with only trees to collect resources from, and not that many trees might I add. Instead of no TC and getting other buildings, I am stuck with a TC, and no monk or Chu Ko Nu's in sight.
Overall, a rather...brutally wrote script, that is missing key features to make it work. Improve it, and I shall redo my review.
