This is a fixed version of Wolf Pack. You now can actually beat it. If you have it, download this and replace your old version. If you don't have it, you will want it. In wolf pack you actually play a pack of wolves. These wolves have many problems to overcome, making this a fun campain. It might take a while to download, but you'll love it! ***BONUS*** It also has an epilouge for you to read when you've finished the campain. (Even though the epilouge hints that I will be making a second Wolf Pack, I don't think I will.) |

The campaign has 12 scenarios; it is a FF with few B&D elements. “Wolf Pack version 1.1” is the last of the “Wolf Pack” and “When Animals Attack” series, all by different authors. You accompany a pack of wolves and their leader Ornlu in its fight for survival, searching for food and shelter during the seasons.
PLAYABILITY: At first, the scenarios are enjoyable, being something new and different. After a while, the searching for caves and food gets repetitive, sometimes boring, especially when long walks are involved. They walk in long lines, along cliffs or over small paths on ice while you study the animal graphics and realize that ES did the “catching up” of the following wolves very good. The forth scenario was too long and the wolves had to kill huge amounts of jaguars, which are far too week. Some levels had nice small stories and were fun to play, so keep on playing as the later scenarios are better, but fewer would have suited the theme better. 3-
BALANCE: The campaign is not challenging, which is quite disappointing playing twelve scenarios, but I learned that a hunting wolf could beat a handful of jaguars. The only enemy who could match the wolf pack were the elephants, but even four at the same time had no chance because of the impressive amount of wolfs player 1 commands. 2-
CREATIVITY: The creativity lies in the idea to play a pack of wolves. You follow them through the seasons and witness succession in the nature, which is an original idea. The map design and the balance of the campaign were not creative at all. 2+
MAP DESIGN: The maps are too large and one-dimensional. Flat grass1 with cliffs; flat grass 1 with cliffs and rocks; flat grass1 with cliffs, desert and jungle; dirt and cliffs; flat grass 1 with cliffs and snow, in general the lack of trees is predominant. 2+
STORY/INSTRUCTIONS: You receive clear objectives, sufficient hints and an in game developing story. 4
OVERALL: Walks with wolves.
SUGGESTIONS: Reduce the amount of scenarios, use smaller more detailed, varied maps with more Gaia like trees, shallows, rivers and buildings, fewer wolves and make it more challenging. The natural enemy of the wolf, human units with guns could make the difference.
IN CLOSING: I recommend downloading Wolf Pack, changing from the normal campaigns you find at the blacksmith.
