Playability: The reason for the really low score is that this scenario is mostly walking around and has very little fighting.
Balance: This scenario is incredibly easy, my units never dipped below 400 health in the whole scenario.
Creativity: This is a pretty good idea for a scenario but is very simple and short.
Map Design: The map looks like a random map with no work on it, the relics aren't removed or anything, and about 95% of it is totally empty. The village of Tainster's cool apocoplypse effect makes up for a bit of this though.
Story/Instructions: The story is pretty good and the instructions are mostly clear, but it's hard to figure out where to look for someone to help you on your quest, you just have to search the giant, barren map till you find someone.
This scenario has some good ideas and good triggers but needs a lot of work. |

Is the yellow village where you meet the guy who is going to help you supposed to be an enemy towards you? |

"Legend of Magic Armageddon DEMO" is a campaign based around the main character Kalcor, he also meets various other people in the game, which help him out such as Brian.
Playability: The playability was a little lacking, this was mainly due to the fact the campaign was short and didn't really have much of a time to set its fun level too high. You travelled along a road with enemy monsters along it to St.Clara and then had to search the map in order to find an ally, standard things which could do with some improvements to set them out from the crowd.
Balance: The balance of this campaign was good, and most likely the best feature of this campaign so far. The different units you fight on the road to St.Clara are all given additional hitpoints and attacks so at to prove more of a challenge whilst travelling. The balance was good, and I hope the author can get the balance even better for the final version of this campaign upon completion.
Creativity: The creativity was mediocre, it featured a burning village, which proved interesting. This was probably the best feature, coming out after the village had been hit by almost burnt to the ground. The campaign otherwise, lacked creative features and things of interest, although again I'm sure this can be built on for the full version.
Map Design: The map design was an edited random map, the map design was nothing exceptional but it served its purpose. To improve the map design the author could add more personal touches and gaia units in the scenario editor to make it stand out from the standard random map script and make it more beautiful and more interesting.
Story/Instructions: The introduction screen included a bitmap, but this was a little poor. The instructions were mediocre, as were the hints but the history section lacked. In game the instructions were very few and usually short, I didn't have to worry about the text passing by too quickly which was a bonus. To improve the story/instructions category the author could build up the story more in the full version, add more dialogue and instructions as to why your doing something and what your doing in more detail.
Overall: A ok scenario, lacking many things to set it out from the crowd more than anything. The authors designing shows promise. |
