not much to say about this scenario, there was only one decent point as far as I can see, but it wasn´t protrayed very well.
playability: 1
as far as I can tell, the first scenario was just walking with two VERY slow teutonic knights, later, you pick up 2 more, yah! You are supposed to go to a bridge where a bunch of dark riders are clumped, but nothing happens, I couldnt even win once I got to the inn. If one of your main guys dies, you don´t lose the game.
Suggestions - More certain triggers, don´t depend on the player to make your scenarios work, make them make it work.
balance: 2
the first 2 scenarios are boring, and they have no real enemies. The last scenario shows some promise. You get into a room, and orcs start pouring in and make you run, when you get to the next room, Gandalf (I think) says that the Balrog is coming, but you never get to see him.
Suggestions - more enemies along the way, make the hobbits faster units.
creativity: 2
once again, no creativity until the final scenario. The mines of moria are kinda cool, they are a bunch of rocks that make you feel like youre underground, thats about it.
Suggestions - find something that makes your LOTR campaign unique.
map design: 2
The maps are kinda bland, there are some trees and mountains. The rest is all grass 1. The 3rd map is kinda unique, using rocks as pillars was a good idea, and it looked like it took some time, decent last map.
Suggestions - take more pride in how your map looks, add flowers and random trees, etc
story/instructions: 1
´get to the inn and talk to gandalf´ was about the most instructions I got the whole time.
Suggestions - more story, more instructions
Scenario 3 was decent, but the rest should be worked on more. |
