Age of Chivalry: Hegemony
Age of Chivalry - a total conversion modification pack for Age of Empires II: the Conquerors set in Western and Central Europe 1100-1500 AD.
Requires the C patch.
Some versions of AoK:TC come with the patch pre-installed, such as some Gold and Collectors Editions. If this is the case, do not install the patch!
Although the graphic changes are been extensive, we've also gone for a total revamp of the gameplay. We've replaced all of the 18 civilisations, there are many new units, new, civilisation-specific buildings (the Princely Court, the Assembly Hall and the Guild Hall) as well as over a dozen new technologies, policy decisions, a mercenary system, new combat dynamics, and even an extensive history section. Yes, that's right: we're replacing all the civilisations in the game with new ones!
Wider support for scenario-only objects is included, and to showcase these a multi-scenario campaign is included with the mod itself. Multiplayer and random map balance has been tweaked, a rudimentary AI has been included, and with the new countries joining the mix, the European battles are even better!
Features:
* Command one of three types of civilisation: the early-game Communal civilisations, the mid-game, militia/spear-centred Urban societies or the heavy infantry/cavalry Noble principalities
* Prepare to fight! Changed game mechanics ensure a much earlier start to the combat, with archery units available in the first age and castles and battering rams in the second
* Complement your armies with mercenaries like the Genoese Crossbowman, the Privateer, or Scots Guards
* Take up the fight as Austria, Bavaria, Bohemia, Brandenburg, Brittany, Burgundy, Denmark, England, Flanders, Florence, France, Friesland, Genoa, Guelders, Helvetia, Hungary, Liege, Milan, Naples, the Papal States, Poland, Savoy, Saxony, Scotland, Venice, or Wales, each completely different
* Advance your country on one of at least two paths by making essential policy decisions, affecting the future of your people
* New buildings, technologies, and units, from the ordinances of the Princely Court to the might of each faction's hero
* Research new, civ-specific, technologies, such as English Longbowmen or Helvetia's Eidgenossenschaft
* Discover the history of each of the 26 countries - plus special articles on the period's conflicts and warriors
* Historical 8-scenario campaign takes you through some of the major events of the period (the battle of Bouvines, the Barons' War, the conquest of West Friesland, the battle of Kortrijk, the start of the Hundred Years War, the siege of Maastricht, the battle of Chioggia, the battle of Vitkov Hill and the siege of Neuss)
Comes with auto-installer.
Version 2.03
Last updated 29 December 2018
Now includes the Userpatch, which allows you to set the population limit to 1000, play with widescreen, and many more features besides! |

Can someone help me? I installed Age of Chivalry and all the graphics and art styles are basically the same as before the installion e.g Japanese, Turkish buildings, units, techs, menu etc. I have installed the C patch, I have unistalled and reinstalled a couple of times but to no effect. The sounds/music and the techs still work, but the art style is messed up. It may have been something to do with Genied or Resource Hacker. I'm not certain. Please help, I really wanna play Age of Chivalry normally! |

When I mean uninstalled and reinstalled I mean standard Age of Empires II. |

You should install Age of Kings + Conquerors, then the 1.0c patch, and after that Chivalry. If you did it like this you shouldn't encounter any graphic bugs. Before you reinstall the game be sure that you've deleted all game files (except for maps/scenarios - you might want to backup those to be on the safe side and then delete the complete folder). |

No effect. Installed Age of Kings, then Conquerors, then C patch and finally Chivalry. No effect. |

@The Crusader,
It is a technically impossible error you're having since the installation removes the original files and replace with new.
My suspicion is that your instalation is going to the worng folder.
Make sure about the location of your game, often is C:\ProgramFiles\MicrosoftGames\AgeofEmpiresII
If your directory of installed programs is not in drive C, locate it before installing and check the adress during instalation.
The installation will backup the originals and replace with the MOD.
If the path is right, maybe the problem is with the windows install. Try updating it to the newest version on windows updates. In any case a corrupted installing system in never a good sign, clear your computer of junk and make a search for viruses, if needed consult especialized foruns for this, they will help and guide you.
Also, try to see if the files on your Age of Empires II folder are not duplicated. Sometimes it is, due to successives instalations, creating 2 Age of Empires II folders, one withing the other (kind of Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\Age of Empires II), and the icon points to the second one, where no changes were made. It happened with me once.
If it still do not work you could install it in some random folder and after change file by file on the game's folder. But, of course, you need to know what you're doing. And make sure to back up the originals before doing it. |

BTW,
This is the most amazing, incredible, aweseome MOD of AoE I've ever seen. I've being following it since the first Age ov Chivalry.
Congratulations to all programmers. Also the custom campaigns are unbelivable. Fun, lots of fun!
Might be bad to do all this work and always have some bug here and there. But if it was not because of them, AoC would not be this master piece of art it already is today, and sure you guys are refining your skills working on it.
Thanks for this MOD!
AoE die hardys like me approves. |

Lord Korvus, I tried everything you said except updating and still the graphics are the same. When you mean updating do you mean Windows or AoE II? AoE II is updated fully and for Windows, I'm not sure what exactly that means. Does someone who has Age of Chivalry working mind giving me their DATA files so I can play it properly? If not then thats fair enough. |

This is really a great mod! It bring back to life The Conquerors. I'm italian, and I've been waiting so long for an italian civilization in AOE2, and now there's Genoa, it's truly amazing!Everything works fine, the game is perfect and challenging.
However, I have a problem with the AI. I love to play random maps against computers opponents, but i think there is a serious lack in the AI! In the vanilla version, the others players respond to taunts, the allies obey orders etc., and the enemies sometimes require tributes in order to make an alliance etc... In short, in Aoe2 there is diplomacy, an important part of medieval politics. Unfortunately, in Chivalry it is not.
I tried to download many Ai files provided with good diplomacy script (like, for example, the Duke Ai version 1.6): the game works, but computer players, obviously, don't use the new civilization correctly (it creates only the vanilla buildings and units...).
Moreover, even the AI of Aoe2's campaign is changed. The mod makes the European campaigns (like Barbarossa or Jeanne D'Arc)very realistic, but the Ai players behave differently (for example, in the firts mission of Barbarossa's campaign - hard difficulty - the others germanic duchies plays like in a random map game, and so you have to challenge 6 powerful enemies, and it's impossible!).
So, anyone knows the solution of my problem?
Thanks![Edited on 06/09/12 @ 01:08 PM]

Hey Visconte. You might want to try the Age of Chivalry thread at the forums. The chance of getting your question answered is substantially higher there.
