I've been working with AGE and got everything I need done except one thing. I need to be able to add kills to a player's accumulative attribute when something happens. The problem is, I can't seem to get it to work.
When I add a new effect, I select "Resource Modifier (Set/+/-)" and I've tried various selections under "Resource."
The one that seems to make the most sense is "Units Killed" but when I choose that, set it to increase by 1o (or any number) the scenario starts out having already granted the designated amount of kills I set in AGE.
Am I doing something wrong or is the answer not obvious? I have set the EFFECT and created the TECH to activate it when "-10" of a resource is tributed.
Kind lost on this one. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I have tried the following resources from the drop box when you select "Resource Modifier (Set/+/-):
20 - Units Killed - This is the one that grants the kills despite the condition in the trigger not having been met. I ensured that there is a price under the TECH tab and that the PAID checkbox is selected.
69 - Killed P1
110 - P1 Kill Value
136 - Kills by P1
These did nothing at all, even when the condition was met.
170 - Total Value of Kills
I suspect this one changes the value that gets added to your Kill attribute when you kill a single unit. Unsure.
I know the trigger is working because every other effect is executed. I also know that the data mod is working because every other modification I have made is working perfectly.
My scenario is done and this is the last thing I need to make it work.
