thanks for your help that answers my question but just to make it more clear do you mean that triggers that are unactive do not lag the cpu? even if i had 30 thousand triggers with loads of effects but were unactive it would not lag the cpu?

ok cool thanks i just couldnt decide how i wanted to do things cause i wanted to accomplish something but there was like 2 or 3 ways to do it. one way would build up effects but since they are inactive it should matter. the other way would be more triggers and more triggers activating eachother but less effects. but now i know what ill do now thanks,
