Terrain:
Ice (looks great next along the banks of rivers and oceans and as a substitute for shallows on maps that are predominately snow)
Snow(cover large areas with snow first then add trees, snow dirt, snow grass and ice. Remember, buildings will not have snow on them if they are placed before adding snow and they will not have snow if placed on Snow dirt or Grass)
Snow Dirt(looks good for roads and around resource gathering areas and buildings)
Snow Grass (use where there's not a lot of travel and in meadows that aren't completely covered in
snow)
Snow Trees(pine forests that are covered in snow. Basically the same tree shapes from original pine forest but with added snow. Also available in GAIA other)
Road (fungus)(used a lot with jungle terrain. Also looks good on grass maps where old roads are needed)
Jungle(jungle trees that look very nice on desert maps too. Throw in a few regular forest trees to make it look realistic)
New trigger effects:
Damage object(allows you to set an effect to have objects already damaged or damged later in a scenario. Looks great in villages that have just been raided or in war swept countryside or to pre-damage units where necessary. Basically this does away with using saboteurs to do the dirty work)
Change object
Name(you select the object and key in the new name. This works for regular units and heros. Not sure if it works for buildings or other things like animals and such. I'll have to test that later)
Change object
HP(let's you select an object and key in a new value for hit points. Make a villager invulnerable or make a castle come down with one blow. Lots of options with this effect)
Change object
Attack(let's you select an object and key in a value for attack. Make a villager that can bring down a castle with one blow or an super soldier. You can see the limitless applications for this one can't you?)
Stop unit(makes a unit stop in it's tracks. Not sure how this works yet with comp units but I'll do more testing)
There may be some trigger effects I forgot, I'm doing this from memory, but I think I covered them all.
There are no new conditions in the triggers, only effects listed above.
Other things:
There are lots of new items under GAIA other now, like ruins, statues, road signs, heads on spikes, flower
Gardens and more. The jungle and new world creatures are available, like parrots, jaguars, turkeys, etc.
Ruins and stumps now remain on the map indefinitely. There's also a new invisible object under "Other"
For each player called 'reveal map' that allows a portion of the map to be revealed (like using a flag).
You can create and delete them with triggers.
You can now set each players population limit (under Player, of course) so no more minimum 75
Population for scenarios.
Well, that's about it for now. I'll write more when and if I discover it.
