I am 33 years old for forgive my total ignorance but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to work even the simplest of triggers. I am creating a Campaign for CONSTANTINE the GREAT and, for example, I need to place plot (historical) messages at certain places (e.g. when Constantine reaches Milvian Bridge a message should appear about his vision of the Cross). I cannot seem to figure out how to do this. Please help an old man.
To make this a good Senario/Campaign I need quite a few triggers.

Make Bring Object To Area the condition with the object being Constantine and the area being the bridge. Then make a Display Instruction effect and type what you want to display.
There is a very good article on triggers in the Blacksmith.
Hope this helps and good luck

Have you done programming before? Well, it does help a little.
You see, triggers are like an if...then statement...
IF a condition is true (eg: object in area)
THEN the effect is executed {eg: display instructions "Hello Constantine")
I hope that helps..

Hi, I´m 26 and i´m new in this too. But it´s easy!!! A month ago I didn´t know how to edit a scenario, and now i do it very fast.I made 2 scenarios of more than 100 triggers in 2 weeks. I think that in the Blacksmith exists a tutorial , and if you speak spanish there´s a wonderful tutorial in IMPERIO SUD (just go to AOK gamelists and you will find the page in it).

Thanks guys. Once you know how it's fairly easy. What I hate is that the stupid manuals don't seem to say anything!!!
Thanks again.

Even though I have TC... johnleemk@yahoo.com
I divide my officers into four classes; the clever, the lazy, the industrious, and the stupid. Those who are clever and industrious are fitted for the highest staff appointments. Use can be made of those who are stupid and lazy. The man who is clever and lazy however is for the very highest command; he has the temperament and nerves to deal with all situations. But whoever is stupid and industrious is a menace and must be removed immediately!
