I have drawn real world maps for Greece and Eurasia, but it was labor intensive. Does someone knows tricks for real world map designing?

To Attila...yes. You must 1st sketch a watered map (giant sized is the best) and make longitudes and latitudes just like in the real geographical map by using walls or/and fishing traps. After that, use a real map and try your best to draw it onto the scenario. I try to do 1 continent at a time -- doing to many will cause frustrations and lost of interest. The key is not artistic skills, but organizations and time.
Hope that helps

Mongol Warrior,
I used to wonder the same thing, although more real world maps are becoming available now, I'm really surprised that there aren't maps made of every continent, region, and country of the world? Oh well give it enough time, I suppose and eventually (that is if people don't lose interest in AoK/TC) we probably will see this happen. Back in early summer I had submitted a map that I made of Asia, from Korea to Turkey, but I haven't had much luck with it playing very well as a scenario?

Sorry to brake into your post like that, but who couldnt use experienced mappers, especially on history scenarios?

Hi Alexander!
I used a method very similar to yours to design a real world map (using coordinates). At first i just draw the coastline of continents, then I place rivers, mountains and even frontiers later resources, vegetation and the civ units at the end. Do you know any trick for that?
