@fknabyss I found a way to convert the graphic and shadow by Slx Studio at once. If you want to try.
- open SMX tree (I tested with it with a tree) in SLX Studio
- go to Graphics tab and click "Batch Extract SMX to SLX"
- go to Tools tab and click "Color Replace Graphics"
- set Tolerance to 20%
- uncheck "Omit Alphas" box
- Replace these colors:
(depending on the shadow, you can replace all three colors to red)
*Dark Purple (R 170, G 47, B 155) and Darker Purple (R 133, G 12, B 121)
to Red shadow (R 255, G 0, B 0)
*Light Purple (R 211, G 58, B 201)
to Pink background (R 255, G 0, B 255)
- click "Add" for each of the three new colors
- click "Apply To All" (x2)
- go back to Tools and click "Generate Data Graphics"
- set Mask and Shadow Tolerance to 20%
- check "Split Shadows" box
- then "Apply to All" and save
(Now there is a shadow graphic)
- save again (this one is the tree graphic without shadow)
- go again to Graphics tab and "Batch Convert SLX to SLP" then "Standard 2.0N SLP"
Note: I tested this method with the buildings as well, and although it worked smoothly, its quality dropped. I'm still not sure if it was the method itself or if it is part of the conversion to SLP.
