Hey all Weekend Warriors! In light of the several missed Weekend Warrior parties in the last several months, I am going to try a new approach. Instead of a new thread each time, we'll use this stickied thread. This thread will include a calendar of the next few Weekend Warrior parties so you all can know when they'll occur. You can always assume that a Weekend Warrior party will occur on the scheduled date unless I post an announcement in this thread.

This will also allow us to create a rotation to easily alternate between clients and/or mods if you guys want. That way, you all can play at least part of the time if one of the game clients doesn't work for you. If you have any suggestions, make a post! This is a discussion thread as well.

Without further ado, the calendar:

June 8th - Weekend Warriors XXXVI - GameRanger - 22:00 GMT
June 22nd - Weekend Warriors XXXVII - Voobly
July 6th - Weekend Warriors XXXVIII - GameRanger
July 20th - Weekend Warriors XXXIX - Voobly
August 3rd - Weekend Warriors XL - GameRanger

Rule #1:

We will have fun. It is required that you enjoy yourself. Otherwise, what are you here for?

Rule #2:

Follow Rule #1.

What: AoKH Weekend Warriors - fun-filled multiplayer hangout with various maps

Who: Anyone from AoKH. If your dog has an account, your dog can play (How does it use a keyboard?)

Where: See the calendar to find out where it's located. When it's at Voobly it will be in the Agincourt Lobby.

When: (see the bolded date in the calendar for the next party date)

The Helpful Time Zone Converter

Why: Why not? (refer to rule #1)

How: See Getting Started Playing Online

2) I'm getting Fiber Optics tomorrow and I'm itching to test it out!

3) My girlfriend wants me to go for a meal with her parents but I love AOK more and is a decent excuse to get out of it.

By the way, at the last Weekend Warriors there were several who were in favor of hosting the next one at GR. I was personally thinking of alternating between GR and Voobly so that more people can be involved if only one client works properly for them.

What do you guys think?

Voobly seems to work better for me than GameRanger. But I've used GameRanger before.

I have no problem with doing either, but I would like an idea of when people are actually arriving. (And please post your time zone!) Last time, I actually had a free Saturday evening, but when I showed up, everyone was gone. I surmise that the afternoon (EST) was when people met, but it would be nice to know in advance. Saturdays are often busy for me.

The start is always 3pm CST, or 4pm EST. The duration depends on how many show up. Most WW parties last for 2-4 hours. This is at least when I'm there. I don't know about times when I'm unable to make it.

I should say that the first game doesn't always start at 3pm. Sometimes the first game is delayed about 30 min waiting for enough people to show up.

In order to keep Weekend Warriors at 21:00 GMT because of Daylight Savings Time in the US, that means that Weekend Warriors will now be at 5PM EST or 4PM CST. So, you can disregard my previous post until Daylight Savings Time ends.

I just use the images that AoKH has saved on its server.

I distinctly recall making a bunch (although not all) of those. You're welcome.

And I don't remember making an eagle warrior one.

Apparently Felix never received the word that we were going to alternate.

Since it was already announced, we'll host it on Voobly this week, but I've notified Felix and added a schedule for when we'll use the different clients. It will be on GR next time.

Just one question do ppl generally play AOK, the conquerors, or AOFE ?

Conquerors.

For those of you guys who don't have much multiplayer experience, don't worry. These games will be pretty casual.
