Thanks, Julius! Great to hear your take!
I've gotten that anticlimactic comment a lot about Prithviraj 5, but to be fair, his story is a bit anticlimactic. My original concept had been to have Chand Bardai follow in trace -- in a journey-style scenario -- to reach the blinded Prithviraj before his mythical bow-shot against Muhammad Ghorid, but decided for the more upbeat take.
The scenario that shipped intended to be, despite the map's shape of India, more of a fantastical, metaphorical, and literary conquest of India as Chand Bardai spreads the story of the dead Prithviraj across the subcontinent by sharing it with various rulers. In retrospect, I'm not sure that came across well, since many people have been confused: this didn't happen in history, how can you have a poet Chand Bardai conquer all of India, etc. And to your point, coming off the hectic battle in the previous scenario, the more intentionally dreamy style, intended to be metaphorical, instead feels a bit dull and anticlimactic. Fair point.
