Blacksmith Feature: The Maids of Linh Nam
Posted by BrandNewCar on November 3rd, 2007 @ 11:50 a.m.

Welcome to this week’s Blacksmith feature. I have chosen The Maids of Linh Nam – Legend of the Trung Sister. The author, Ngoc Huynh was a member of the now infamous SCN Punk design team.

You take the roles of two female sisters Trung Trac and Trung Nhi respectively. Living in Vietnam attempting to resist the Chinese invaders, who are ruled by To Dinh.

After stopping the Chinese from harming some civilians in your hometown, the problem encounter soon escalates, and the sisters are soon forced to flee the area. Defeat your enemies and overcome obstacles as you attempt to meet up with your brother Le Dao Sinh and eventually liberate the people!

The file has one review here, giving it a 4.4 out of a possible 5. The file has a few key sound files that also help improve the atmosphere throughout. This campaign is mainly a role-playing game, with the need for good combat tactics to survive to the end.

As a trial, I decided to write up a walkthrough for the map as well. If you encounter any problems or are stuck at a point in the game, it may be worth having a look here. Feel free to post comments asking for helping or thoughts in the thread.

Can’t help but reminded of the Sister Act song, “sisters are doing it for themselves”…; )
